How long have you been training with Coach Jess?
I’ve been training with Coach Jess for about 5 months now.

What made you want to get into boxing?
I wanted to get back into working out and have always had an interest in boxing, but I was kind of shy to go out to classes. Coach Jess also happens to train my dog and when she told me about her private 1:1 sessions for boxing, I decided to sign up!

What progress & changes have you seen after starting training with Jess?
I noticed a big change in my upper body strength. I never had any upper body strength even when I played sports back in HS & even when I did go to the gym to workout upper body, it was never really effective. I made it a goal to do 5 assisted pull ups by end of 2024 back in November 2023. I was stuck at 1 for over a month, but a month of training with Jess & I’m currently at almoooost 3. I also noticed a big change with my overall body structure & my relationship with my body.

What have you learned while training Jess?
The importance of hips. I’ve always hurt myself with how I pick things up etc. and now it’s a lot better. I also think that boxing has taught me to focus on my core & breathing, which helps me when I do my other workouts, such as Pilates & cycling. This also benefits me because now the workouts are actually targeting specific body parts & not just me going through the motion to go through it.

Did you have fun during your sessions?
I have a lot of fun during my sessions! It’s a good way to release stress & a good sweat session.


Did Jess inspire and motivate you to push your limits and reach new milestones?
Yes, she pushes me every session 🤣 and each session is different. Each session builds on the one before & she does a really good job explaining the progression.

Would you recommend training with Jess?
I highly recommend training with Jess!
